Soar Evermore

Tue, 11/07/2017 - 11:48 -- AZimm99

My son, you grew so quickly,

Just yesterday so young, so small.

Today you told me something

Not easy a task at all.

As we sat in the kitchen,

You took hold of my hand.

"I have something to tell you," you said,

"I hope you'll understand."

Your silent pause lasted ages

But son, I already knew.

I'm so relieved you came out,

And now you can be you.

I am inspired by your bravery,

By living authentically and for rising above.

Standing up for equality for all living beings,

And believing, my son, "Love is love."
