Soaring

Poetry is a scientific anomaly

It defies gravity, blends and parts

To create new forms and spheres

That are both hypnotic and fierce.

Explosions wrap their arms around

Potions sweet talk swiftly

Making cagey artisans profound

And labyrinth formulas jaunty.

Luring myself into pursuit

In order to grasp the sound

Led to unknown certainties

Where bombastic blasts abound.

Awe guides Life into rambles

Causing growth in moves

Or mechanics in writing tools

Drifting apart into shambles.

Out of these animated scraps

Comes a dexterous machine

Formed from past orts and present acts

It is both monstrous but pristine.

Soaring like a tearing rocket

It glides high above the clouds

Into the outer level's great effect

Of starry lights and blinding sounds.

Soaring above is a fine achievement

Where poetry's impact creates alacrity

In forming paths for improvement

That continuously defies gravity.
