Sober

Wake me without trace of the sun. Hold me tight and press down hard. Suffocate me slowly. Spite me no longer damned distance. Beat me fiercely. Hold no hand out for mercy of any kind for my content. Bite into suffered flesh. Rip me from tired bones. Show no mercy. Show no mercy. Let the blood from my pain ooze, dripping beneath pointed fangs and cry my love from eyes; blind eyes forsaken to beauty. Tear out this severed heart. Maul it to shreds in the same cruelty you tease me with. Hate me through gritted teeth and furrowed brows. Cry out in anger. Scratch your claws through me deep with need. Let pain and anguish leap out from deep inside. Deep inside this madness. Let it paint the air in shades of hate. Let it say: look at me! I have nothing! I am nothing! Drop me to the ground as I lay covered in hurt. Will no one stop this?? Will no one help?? And I scream: Come back! Come back! I need you! Atlas no answer. Deafened by the sound of my own cries taking the air, I slither away to my corner of darkness. Choking on time, I grab for the heart that no longer pulses within. My voice escapes as fragile and small. And I cry: come back... please... I love you.
