SoCal Summer


The sun swoops down with a comical gesture The earth sizzles under the surface Temperatures squeeze abdomens The smell of banana boat screams at passersby Yellow orange and pink Stimulate the pupil Souls fly through the blue Find yourself, We are real Life grows Music thumps in the hearts of others Minds race Legs shift Fingers fiddle Eschscholzias pop through the last layer of dirt The pacific ocean opens its emotions to the crisp earth taking its room Independence is carved into the dimension Eyes open Hands let go Heads lift Arms spread Dreams come true California Dreamin'.
