Soccer Sonnet

One day while I was playing in my game

I hit a girl in the face with the ball

She cried a lot and I thought she was lame

My coach said I should say sorry and call

It made me wonder about Newton’s Law

I knew the mass and force, what was the speed?

In my equation there was one big flaw

I did not have all the things I would need

I asked my coach to help; she said “I pass”

I calculated the force was twenty

And the ball was 5 pound, which was the mass

With the force and mass, now I had plenty

Four meters per second was the exact speed

It went too fast I made the girls nose bleed
