Social media

Who cares who you are on social media?

why does it matter to you how many likes you get?

what makes you think these people actually like you, actually care?

im not going to lie, I do the same things

i post selfies

I spit my emotions out for everyone to see

in hopes someone cares

why do we do this to ourselves?

we trick ourselves into thinking we have friends

who we don't know

who we don't talk to

its just a like

just a lie

its not really you

i realized this 370 posts too late

i don't need a filter to look pretty

I don't need all these likes

i still post pictures but without all the filters

i look genuinely happy

not looking for approval

From my fake friends

just sharing my happiness

my passions

my selfies

I could care less if I get 20 likes or 120

i'll always look happy

i'll always be me

and I will always be able to look back on my memories.
