Societies Monsters

You don't feel safe

Within those walls

You're ridiculed and teased

For being different and strange

They found something

They don't understand

That scares them

So they'll knock it down

Until they like what they see

Because society

Throws around sayings

That keep you tied down

So they see and get

Everything they could want

They attach labels to

Your Heart

And if you rip them apart

Then society will rip your soul

In two

This society tells you

To be yourself

But don't be the you

That you really are

But the you

Society made you to be

And if that's a monster

A being they want to blame

Someone who has to be

The outcast

Then wear it with pride

And show them

Just how much of a monster

You can be
