Male, female

Tradition, non-tradition

Mother, business woman

Always wrong, never right

Who is to tell someone what to do with their life or how to think

Who is to decide?

That person, that's who, not you

Where is the line, what is enough

What’s wrong with tradition, morals and meals?

“Don't listen to a man; he will just bring you down”

Is it so wrong? Is it that bad?

Not to be brought down but to live, to coexist.

To have someone that looks after you and your kin

I am not saying to be hopeless, helpless or dumb,

To never have dreams or to never have fun.

But to be part of something that functions so well,

It make take work, it may take time

But if it fell, if it caved what would be us, what would be they?

Children so lost, so broken and afraid

Not looking forward, but living with questions, no answers and false images of the world

To have structure and love is what every kid craves,

Though the world does not support marriages these days.

Yes, go be successful, not because you have to but because you want to.

New society says mothering is no longer cool

Who are they to decide? Who are they to know?

Show your children more, show them you are strong

Sometimes the strongest people are the ones not known.

Being strong and being wise is something that's within, not outside

Do you have to be better, smarter, stronger?

Why can’t we all just live equally, lovingly, nobody better

but yet this something never achieved,

Something that can only be won with money and power

No, don’t be dictated, don’t be beneath,

But don’t be extreme, Hateful, uncaring

To be successful, you don't have to hate

You don't have to despise, be separate, be apart

Be the same be together, works as one, be a team.

Sexism, feminism, all words that bring hate,

They are tossed around like it’s funny,

But really it makes women think that being a woman has sealed her fate

Break out, be free, be the woman YOU want to be.

Not the one he says, or she says, but the one that is inside of you

Whether that is a mother, an owner, a singer, a nurse,

Don’t fit the mold, don't be anything unless it is your hearts cue

Just because tradition is in the past,

Does not mean that it is wrong, or unjust

It is a way of life that has been chosen by many women throughout the world

To say it’s not true or to say that it’s wrong may feel right to you

But that is you and I am me

To judge someone for what they chose, the now or then, should not be the subject

What should is the way the world has turned, and the dying Earth that’s been wrecked

Male female

Tradition, non-tradition

Mother, business woman

Always wrong, never right

Who is to tell someone what to do with their life or how to think

Who is to decide?

That person, that's who, not you
