The people we think we know

Most of them, well, become foes

Some of them we love dearly and want to keep

Others we just want to get rid of or delete

We live life with people who are so loathsome

So outrageous and vile and we feel lonesome

And deserted

And isolated
And desolated

That we let them crush us and our spirits

That we let them smush us and our limits

That we let them shatter us and our dreams

That we let them demolish us and our beliefs

This is the society we live in

You, I, him, her, he, she, we
