S-O-C-I-E-T-Y

Some people keep asking why?  

The things going on in the world today,

Like world hunger and poverty

They say we have the power

But, do we really?

It makes you think, is this really society?

Some selfish or ungrateful

Some waiting to get a plate full

Communication is the key

Just like our sovereignty

We wonder how many tweets we’ll get

Or likes we get on a pic

There are bigger problems than that

Having some worry if they are going to make it home safely

Problems that could be solved with them in jail

Everything must be fair, in the life we live it’s very rare.

Once again it makes you think,  is this really society ?

Sending messages green or blue,

Just wanting the recognition that you’re cool.

Who has the best wardrobe or the most money? Some people crack jokes thinking less is funny.

Having less or more shouldn’t matter

Our hearts need to desire to better.

We should look towards the future.

Let’s make society more mature.
