Society

I don't understand these

socialistic idiosyncrasies

followers and followings

falling prey to follies

presently preserved

through the social media outlets

propagating behaviors

unrealistic yet saviors

making money off the image

provided to the public

although privately preposterous

The rich gets richer

the poor gets poorer

resulting in an imbalance

no one can afford

causing discord

injustices coursing through

the veins of society

bred and mutated

through greed and hubris

partitioning the population

Meanwhile media makes money

manipulating the masses

selling dreams torn at the seams

seemingly oblivious to the mayhem

brought on by their plight

the soul of society suffering

with the light growing dimmer

until unity is nought

despite the obvious conclusion

of a troubled future

drawing near
