Society

O Society, how far you fell,

Classy Clothes replace by pants that sag.

Our world, an intellectual's living hell

With elegat speech now "yolo" and "swag"

In our Country, best of all lands,

Blocked to outsiders by gun and fence.

Outsiders want in, but failed have their plans,

And Insiders lacking common sense.

Gridlocked in Congress, and none have a voice,

Leaders wishing to go to war with our kin.

A political system where we get no choice,

And down other's throats we ram our opinion.

Gone gentle times and gone gentle words.

There aren't individuals, they follow in herds.

Today, everything's electronified.

Killing intelligence while communication has died.

All want change but nothing gets done,

"Someone will do it, but I'm not the one.

Tomorrow will be a better day."

That's what I've heard, that's all they say.

The media blasts chaos, but nobody cares.

They're just fine, it's no matter how others fare.

They turn off the news and watch Jersey Shore,

I don't know how their brains can take anymore.

The Amish TV series, by far, take the cake

They watch it all day; can't they see they're all fake?

Today's society is one vile cyst,

No one sees it like that, they're all optimists.

My friends say that I live under a rock,

I'll tell you why, society sucks.
