Where everyday is a different battle

a battle to be true to you

a battle to not giving up

or not giving in

trying to keep your head above water

when everyone is trying to pull you down

trying to better yourself

but everyone is trying to keep you where you are

where you can't trust anyone

families turning their backs

friends stabbing you in the back

Living in the society

where the government is currupt

making you promises that they dont intend to keep

picking on the lower class

knocking them off their feet

steeling from your contry

involved in conspiracies

Living in this contry

where its hard to just be you

media sets the standards

the people make the expectaions

and if you fall short

your an outcast

living in this society

is becoming hard

its becoming difficult to be what people expect

its excruciating trying to block out who you are

to become someone else

thats why im blocking out society

to just be me

to reach my goals

and follow my dreams
