Society Bound
No I am not perfect, and I mean that shit sincerely
However my strengths be a lot greater than my fears be
Young, stupid, insecure, immature
I wanna be a man but my mental stature is too miniature
Are you surprised? I mean I was foolish enough to let social influence enter my interior
And force to me to believe that my way of life was inferior
Clothes, trends, and popularity. I call it all scripted acting
I tried, and tried to obtain but was told i was lacking
So fuck it I'm don't slacking
I'm wasting my life trying to be like them so I'm outta here lemme get the packing
Society's version of perfect is more than overrated
The minds of these cowards today are so saturated
Everybody wanna be Beyonce, everybody wants to be Lebron James
Everybody wants to be Mike Vick, everybody wants that Kim K. fame
With or without the ass shot
You'll be another mascot
To pop culture's current fad
Damn it really makes me mad
But at the same time it makes me glad
That through my trials and tribulations I was able to find my greatest strength is the opposite of illiteracy
I found insight and wisedom after I broke from chains of pop culture society
Unpopular? Yea I might be
But I have the wisdom of a person about my age times three
