Society Changed Me

Society hates gays

Oppressed and hated against,

Causes LGBT suicide rates to rise.

Instead of society being at fault,

Everyone blames those who don’t conform.

Threatening me to become straight,

Yelling at me for liking girls.

Creating this monster inside me,

Hating who I was born to be.

And wondering why I’m not normal.

Noticing I’m different and pretending to not be.

Going undercover, pretending to fit in,

Everyone’s watching my every move.

Daring me to mess up.

Maybe being LGBT is normal.

Everyone is valid.
