Society Never Sleeps

Society is like a broken clock on a repeating day.

It breaks, and makes the same mistakes as a broken clock portrays the same time every minute of the day.

It will never be fixed because it's stuck on this repeating day and keeps failing, to become more.

Society will stereotype you like the mean girls who laugh at you in the hallway because they think you are different from them in all the wrong ways.

It will brew up crooked thoughts of what you should be, what you should say, how you should act.

It's like they can’t see that you have feelings, it's like they have a cataract.

Society sets standards and expectations that drive you to believe that you need to meet them, that you must do these things. They tell you, do this do that when all you want to do is run as far away from this horrible place as possible until you can't run any longer.

Society falls apart.

Piece, by piece, by piece, as you slowly start to realize what is going on.

Society falls apart like the tan colored popsicle stick house you made as a child.

The glue sticks, as long as you don’t touch the piece you just put in place, but the minute you do, it falls over like a  large tree that has been chopped down and turned to dust.

Just like how you hold on to the part of a society, that feels like home, the place that makes you, think you are accepted,

But the instant you realize that this is wrong, you turn into a garden gnome, a sitting duck, a target for them to attack.

They let you go, as the rest realize what's going on just like you have, and just like

that, it's gone.

While you sleep, society awakens, and everyone joins together to tourment another, innocent person, who is just like you. And like that, they fall asleep too, slowly, and then all at once.
