Society as our Eyes
Nature loves and nature lasts,
But all we do to nature is mask,
Mask its beauty, mask its lessons,
All we do is ignore our blessings,
Nature teaches, Nature learns,
Nature knows and without nature we burn,
Hooked on society, we are lost,
We still sit and ignore the cost,
When a place is dead, so is the grass,
Ever wondered why the ground was so dead and brown?
When society is corrupt and morals are down,
It has nothing to do with water, soil, or the sun,
It is our society who causes nature's death,
Although nature is the reason for our breath,
but nature does not completey fade away and die,
It just cries and suffers why we lie,
Lie to ourselves about how our lives work,
Our corruption in the cities, in the towns,
They lurk,
The sun, the trees,
That is both you and me,
But we fail to believe,
What we refuse to see,
We are blinded by our own corruption,
We are the cause of not only nature's, but our own destruction.
