Socks
Yes! Yes! Yes!
I have been waiting for this day.
With being alone all this time,
what else can I say?
I've been sitting in this drawer
waiting the long wait
fir the laundry to get back
and I'm reunited with my mate.
Can you imagine how long I've been waiting for this?
since being mixed matched is now a part of
"Ignorance is bliss!"
I was at the bottom,
my partner at the top.
When she couldn't find my light blue hue,
she chose polka dot.
And while I felt my fragile heart
break into a thousand shards,
Polka dot took away the one sock
with the other half of my heart.
But today as I wait
I feel the strong pull,
realizing our bond
Is invincible to even the strongest bull.
And from now on,
we must keep together
to matching socks
then, now, and forever.
Through thick and thin
even if we must go
to the laundry,
Or any other foe.
