Soft Place to Land

Well, my friends, I'll tell you:

Life for me has not had a soft place to land.

It's had ups and downs,

And drops,

And turn arounds,

And places with loose screws barely holding on--

Exasperating.

But through it all

I've been going on,

And getting places,

And changing people,

And sometimes without any help,

Where the odds are against me.

So friends, don't give up.

Don't loose sight of where you want to go

Because it may be strenuous.

Don't loose faith now--

Because I will never stop,

I'm still fighting,

Life for me has not had a soft place to land.
