Soft Spot
I built a wall that no one could really get past.
When I met you, I still had my guard up, but something about you, over time, was getting through my guard so easily.
You touched a soft spot in my heart that's been hurt so many times.
You made me feel heard, seen, and listened to all my random talks.
You encouraged me, helped me, and prayed for me in my rough moments.
You made me laugh, you made me believe loving a person deeply was possible.
I miss the late-night talks, the car rides, blasting music, and the funny and serious talks shared.
You opened up a soft spot in my heart, but what I didn't know was that several months later, after waiting for what felt like forever, that soft spot, after 7 months, got hurt, and now the trust is broken.
I am scared of falling for someone only to get hurt all over again.
