Softball

The crack of the bat

The wind on my face
Running as fast as you can to
Make it to base.

Friends in the dugout
Fans cheering in the stands
The feeling of triumph crossing
Home plate to the clapping of hands.

There's no greater love
Nothing I'd rather do
Than play this game
Even though I'm black and blue.

They say I have God given talent
For that I'm blessed
I just want to play and win
And be the best.

Four more years;I'm college bound
To play this game I love
Friends and family by my side

But most importantly my bat and glove.
