Softball

Dear Softball,

You are the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

The 10 years I spent with you were the best years of my life.

You were my “escape” to everything that was going on around me.

You gave me the most amazing experiences I could ever dream of.

I was traveling across the Eastern Region of the US,

While playing the sport I love, life just couldn’t get any better.

Because of you, I got to visit states where I never stepped foot in before.

It all started with Little League,

which then turned to a recreational league

and then that escalated to a travel team.

You have given me the best things a person could ask for.

You have given me life long friends.

You have also given me the experiences of a lifetime.

Not many people can say that they have gotten 2nd place at Nationals

And not many people can say that they are a state champion.

As I get older, I will continue to miss you as long as I shall live.

I know that all good things must come to an end.

But I am more then happy with where I ended my Softball Career.

Thank you again, for being the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

Love,

Caperton
