Softly on the Wind

Location

awoken to the sound of birds
daylight pouring in
hes asleep hair a golden halo around his head
i kiss his forehead gently
i don't wish to disterbe our sleeping beauty
i get out of bed slowly as gently removing his hands from my waist
i go to the heart of the home
make something he wont expect
something he would love
i walk upstairs holding it lovingly in my hands
i whisper his name under my breath
he turns slight
barely awake
i sit beside him
the plate still in my hands
i kiss him lips gently
as soft as a birds feather
"happy anniversary" is off on the wind
