sol

if i could, i’d give you the sun.

throw a rope up into the sky, lasso that sucker and bring it down.

i’d sweat and grunt,

pulling, running, pulling.

How long would it take?

god only knows,

or whatever is up there

(if there’s anything up there)

probably days,

months,

hell, even years.

that sun is pretty far away.

ninety-two

point

ninety-six

million miles away to be exact.

but

if it meant seeing you smile, i’d do it in a heartbeat.

if it meant chasing winter away, i’d do it in two.

if it meant freckles and tan skin, i’d do it in three.

te daria el sol

perdoname,

no soy dios

ni diosa

ni jesus o santa maria

tampoco quechua aclla cuna

virgen del sol

si tuviera los poderes, el sol sería tuyo

la luna mia

felices los dos
