Solace

I find solace in reading scriptures 
I find solace in singing the hymns 
The hymns written by the psalmist 
Asking God to fight for me 
For the battle doesn't belong to me 
That's how I find solace 

I find solace in prayer 
Praying to Yahweh 
And magnifying his name 
For He's the Lord that have dominion over man
I find solace in giving adoration to Him 
 Even in Hebrews 12:29
Our God is a consuming fire 
For He've taken away the pain 
And He has made our lives complete

I find solace in Psalms 56:9
When I cry unto God 
Then shall my enemies turn back.
This I know for God is for me
I find solace in praising his holy name
For He's the Lord our God 
The Lord of lords 
And the Lord of kings 

Angels and cherubims are worshiping Him
For He's the root and the offspring of David
He's the bright morning star
I find solace in Revelation 22:13
He's the Alpha and Omega 
The First and the Last
The beginning and the End 
The Lord of hosts 
And I've realized that 
Blessed is the one who keeps 
The words of prophecy written in this scroll

I find solace in prayer and thanksgiving 
As long as I'm in this world 
I want to live so that I please God 
I want to be righteous before Him 
I want to adore Him
I find solace in living by the Spirit 
I'm talking about the Spirit of the Lord 
For the scriptures says 
Come to me you all that are hungry 
You shall be satisfied

I find solace in Proverbs 
For it warns me against evil deeds
And It teaches me how to find wisdom 
Thus fearing the Lord is the beginning of wisdom
I find solace in Romans 7:1-6
Whereby I'm released from the law
And I'm bound to Christ 
For He's my saviour 
Through his death  my sins were forgiven
