Solace in Solitude

I see a youngling alone in heart and mind and some would in a sense say blind

In school he sat alone on the playgrounds and though others were abound

He was lost and confused he sat and read to relieve his heart of dread

Tales of grandeur and wonder filled his head

Later in life though he has friends but then he felt inclined to pick up a pen

To create at a whim that which had once comforted him
