Soldiers

They're short and tall They fight with missiles and spears They're young and old They've been fighting for years He's black, he's white They're both a part of this earth He's Christian, he's atheist They've been fighting since birth He knows how to kill He'll do anything for his own will But without that gun He'll only run He's fighting for Canada He's fighting for France He's fighting for America But he's really a Russian He wants peace for all He'll die at the call They both want the war to be over They just want to go home He sees bodies burning But times are turning Death to all mankind Has poisoned all their minds He had so much power Until God struck the hour His judgement day is calling So he started crawling His brother just died Then all night he cried He started turning blue But what else could he do He's only a soldier A lonely soldier Begging for mercy on his sins Will he die without the win Will his family ever forgive him For the people he's killed His light is getting dim For he can never take back this skill
