The Soldier's Heart

who are We? crippled at birth, though We are stronger than most— but only Together, so that i cannot boast. Perfection’s visage, shattered in darkest space to be rebuilt in that secret place. what is still lost, finally known; the path of a boy yet to be grown. guardian spirit, made manifest in me; what few who know can clearly see. a body and mind designed to fight. to walk in His footsteps and do what is right. there are two-faces in love, shown in peace and strife. love leaves little mercy when protecting a life… the monster within, that creature inside; that darkest paladin cannot be denied. a sheep in goat’s wool, the goat to be spared; knowing the trap in which i’d been snared. although we are weak, with Him I AM strong. given power to save, with Him we belong who are We? who is I? who am i? be gone the Man, become the Beast. a heart of Stone, cold fury released. for Justice, and Love, and Life i will fight. the foolish Villain knows not Our might. Born from love, but unleashed by hate, beware Our power or accept your fate. i Promise: i will always guard the Truth, what’s Right, Justice, and brightest Light. be gone the Beast, return the Man. your Frozen Heart can Melt again.
