Soldier's valentine
It was just a regular day for a soldier,
When he said “I’ll be back soon” to his crying wife and consoled her.
More than his family he preferred his motherland,
And swore to defend it in freezing snow or in burning sand.
He fought in summer breeze and fought in winter storm,
And permanently closed his eyes in the coffin when it got warm.
Yes, people were enraged after this Pulwama attack,
Yes, they want revenge from Pakistan and won’t sit back.
Among these martyrs, were some newly wed,
“I’ll be as soon as possible, I promise” they said.
When they cam back the look on their family’s face could not have been duller,
Yes, they came back but were wrapped in tricolor.
