Solitary Life

Standing confidently though feeling like an outcast, Hiding what’s in the head and trying to forget it fast. Still, the heart wins, and the pain really shows up, Until the tears burst, and no one taps the back. Choosing to stay quiet and alone at all times, Losing confidence as hope begins to die. No words or actions can restore the strength inside, Deaf to the world, yet still seeing its light. Speaking without a voice, expressing thoughts with synonyms, While people around respond with nothing but antonyms. Their hatred is a burden that is hard to swallow, Leaving life with an empty path to follow. Still believing that anyone can be close to oneself, Staying alive without another’s presence. Never allowing hurtful words and actions to defeat life, For a solitary life can still grow strong and thrive.
