Solitude

On a busy, fast maneuvering morning in Downtown,

There lays an abundance of rags in a filthy corner of a doughnut shop.

Hordes of hectic souls hustling to their place

kicking,without notice.

That there lays a man

Face, filled with despondency and desolation

Clad with bedraggled sheets of torn cloth.

One hand holding a corroded old canister,

Desperate to hear the sounds of clink

Shaking, shaking, and shaking

But those spirits pay no attention

As if he appears invisible

‘Til one woman came,

One hand with a marker,

One hand with a board,

Moments later, the bittersweet metallic sounds drop

Clink, clink, and clink.

The man, shocked and astounded

For that man had not known that the board says,

“Please help, I’m blind.”

The way society criticize the disadvantage

Cause his disability to daunt him since youth

It’s like a vile beast that haunts you in your nightmare

And now, Solitude lingers with him

Solitude caused his lack of communication skills, unemployed

Unemployed, and now, destined for destitute

Wishing for Hope to bring him prosperity

Like that humane woman
