The Soloist

The long, thin, elegant, silver lines Shimmer under the bright lights of the stage A nervous flautist waits for her moment to shine The music begins; a story of rage The anger builds violently louder, Then a feminine, but powerful, sound appears The slow, calm sounds make the anger grow softer The beautiful solo calms Anger’s fears Peace calms Anger, while growing intensely Rage leaves Anger, and is replaced by love Anger’s love for Peace has grown immensely Peace contains the pureness of a white dove The accompaniment slowly fades away Leaving the solo to close out the day.
