A Sombre Soup

The moments of strife

We experience in life

Are like a sombre soup.

They appear like goop,

And offend the eyes

With actions that cause us to droop.

A lack of aroma tries-

With cunning, cunning lies-

To hide a pungent taste that chokes.

But the feelings it evokes-

Dissatisfaction, Dissapointment, Disgust-

Are nothing but cruel jokes,

For soup is just

Food.
