Some Call It an Excuse

Somewhere there is,

A clock that is counting

Down. Second by second.

Tick tock.

The clock won't stop. For me.

Too much to do.

Walk the dog.

Visit grandma.

Do your homework.

I can't.

Because I have homework to do.

And I have to get up early

To go to work.
