Some Days Like Today

The day after darkness, you came along

You took my hand and cleared my mind

As we traveled through different realms

I thought of how happy I was at that moment

How happy I'll be in the next

The sun started to set

As when all things end

You told me "It's alright"

You said "Everything is okay"

As tears fell from my face

I believed every word

As I thought of you once more

I smiled 

But no matter how hard I tried

You're still gone

But I let go

Does that make me grown?
