Some Final Words...

Although it ended with tears and tired voices I'm glad I made the choice to be broken By your absence Passion and fear raged in my veins but I still held your gaze Cause I knew I may never again someday But I think it's time I start moving on so honey savor your final words Here's to the summer night We swayed to our favorite record in the living room The stars they collided Stubborn hearts, sewn back together Our strings tugged at each other Two young souls, they were tethered But real love doesn't have to last forever To be remembered we rebuilt our safe haven in a treehouse two children laughing and blazing Never wanted to come down But soon the storm came around The Thunder clapped its sound The wood came crashing down splinters pricking our fingers leaving scars which would linger we were each other's fire when the world grew cold I miss the touch of your sunset skin I know we didn't get the ending we expected the feelings we shared were never meant to be more though it left our hearts sore I will forever be grateful That for a second in time I was yours Yeah for a second in time I was yours
