To Some I Am A Sin.

To some I am a sin To others I am a freak To some I am accepted For me it is not about the way you look It is not about the clothes Or the way you wear your hair To me it is the inside Take me for example I am hiding Hiding behind a curtain of confusion Did I see what I see? Do I feel what I feel? What am I like this? Why won’t others look at me? Every time I close my eyes I see him In the back of the police car I see the cuffs on his wrists And I ask why? But then I remember all the pain he caused I remember seeing her thrown across the way Into the microwave Then I think inside And I ask why? Why do I feel this way? For why I am I having these thoughts? Why was I born? Into this body Into this mind Other says it is a sin Others say that it is fine I am not accepted For I will never climb out From behind this curtain Which, provides me safety But deep inside, I Myself Know that I Am A Sin.
