Some Other Time
Here she is
Isn't she great?
Yeah, I love her...
But something's not right.
I have a feeling.
Right now you seem happy,
Later you won't be.
Time will tell.
I'm happy for you brother,
But is it my turn now?
You've only been dating for a month.
"We'll do that some other time, I promise."
You said.
Here she is
On our family trip.
Isn't she great?
I didn't know she was considered family now.
It's year two and you both are still in high school.
And she's starting to cause drama for everyone.
Whatever, it's fine.
"We'll do that some other time, I promise,"
You said,
Here she is
Taking you from me.
Isn't she great?
You still think so.
I don't see or talk to you anymore.
It isn't fair.
I'm still your sister
And you still live under the same roof as me.
Can we go do that thing now?
"We'll do that some other time, I promise."
You said.
Here she is
Revealing her true colors.
Isn't she great?
Now you're upset,
Now you're angry.
That we're all starting to question it.
"It's because I love her!"
You argue.
Do you know what love is?
At age 13 I watch a perfect example
Of what it's most certainly not.
Now can we go?
"We'll do that some other time, I promise."
You said.
Here she is.
You're broken up,
Finally, you see she's not so great.
Mom is finally happy,
And Dad is too,
Now that you're out.
Though I knew it was coming
I knew it all along,
Right from the start.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
I love you brother,
And you thought you were happy, but,
It's because you never said,
"Yes, let's go out to lunch."
That's when I was going to say something.
Crazy how something so little
Could have told you so much.
It's because I love you, brother.
So now can we go?
"Yes, let's go do that now."
You said.
