Some people will never understand

Some people will never understand you

Adults always seem to have the same views

Parents always tell their children “I just want what’s best for you”

I never understood why or what they meant

I always thought they wanted to control my life

Pre-school was nothing but playing outside and taking naps

Elementary turned into just playing outside and very few homework assignments

Middle school turned into homework assignment and hanging out with friends

High school turned into into only homework assignments and deadlines and possibly a job

You slowly grew up without realizing

As you grew older, your mentality grew with you

You no longer felt the need to be like a child

You realized you have responsibilities and need to grow up

I realized what my parents meant by saying they just wanted what’s best for me

They weren’t keeping me from having fun

They genuinely wanted what was best for me.
