Some Strange Dance

Per chance, one day I caught a glimpse Of your brilliant smile I felt my heart It skipped a beat Then pounded for a while My face went flush My head, it spun My mind went utterly blank And with that glimpse Of your brilliant smile My heart rose then sank I began to melt But kept my cool I figured I had no chance But here I am Stuck with these thoughts Of us, locked in some strange dance Not knowing truly What's going on But hoping, still, that sparks could fly Between us two I'm sure they could All we need to do is try I realize, though You have reason for not wanting me But I tell you, This much is true You make me more than happy I know I don't have much to offer But I offer all that I can In hopes that maybe One day soon We could be walking hand in hand
