Some Things Are Fragile
I'm standing here in front of you trying to explain myself,
And why I fell apart when you needed me most.
Now I'm falling from sleep,
And you're slipping into comatose.
So it's hard when I try to explain these metaphors,
Because some things are just so fragile.
But I will pretend to be unbreakable.
So we may be broken but I think we can be repaired,
But maybe that's just because my vision is impaired.
I hold on to my fickle faith when I am scared,
But through all this it feels like you never cared.
Would you believe me if I said my heart is gone?
Or if I showed you that you make it hard to hold on?
I'll just leave here with the fact that I my faith is not unshakable,
And the biggest lie I ever told is that I'm unbreakable.
I'm standing here saying that it's so hard to be fragile,
Because the world seems to need a flawless hero,
Now I feel like a monster,
And the clock has reached zero.
So it's hard to act as if I can save everyone,
Because all I ever do is let them down.
Why do we all have to be so fragile?
