Some Words Speak Louder Than Actions

A lot of time passed before you could trust me

Isolation was how I dealt with problems, nothing new

But I laid out my thoughts on a table for you to see

That I was comfortable to share everything with you

With respect, you never forced me to do anything

You adored me despite our contrasting personalities

Like how I never joined you when you started to sing

But you taught me to be proud of my unique qualities

Remember the last few days we had together?

All we did was talk about the fun partnership we had

Then we continued to enjoy being with one another

The long silence following was companionate, not sad

Honest communication made our relationship wholesome

Because I love you, I will miss you for years to come.
