Somebody

We are told we be something in life but we have to be nothing to become something. The struggle is real in this life. we fight for the best memories in life and we run away from the bad memories we faced. Fighting to be heard and to be known in this place, is leading those to they resting place. We were born as nobody's but we are supposed to leave this world as somebody. Y'all tell me what obstacles we gotta face in order to leave this place with a label of a somebody, and not our name our mom gave us. why we gotta be a somebody? why we can't be ourselves? Basic bitches die as somebody's. But nah not I, imma die as AJ. Working my ass off, fighting to get my education and to become a better person: Just to die with a label of a somebody? naw not I, fuck all that. Because if I'm not mistaken I was taught that originality is better than a copy any day. So fuck dying as a somebody cause I'm gon die as AJ. Because I'm me and I'm not just anybody or a somebody. I'm originality and I'd be damn if I die a copy of a somebody
