Someday

Not all scars can fade
In her soul is the token that she's paid
Her scars aren't fully healed
But forgiveness is what she asks for as she kneels
Nobody can hear her silent pleas
Except the dear Lord as she bows on her knees.
Time after time marks appear on her skin
Each time she finds out that the blade always wins
Silent tears fall down her face
She doesn't want to finish her race
As sure as day she makes her pain known
But to her friends it's barely shown
Perhaps you know a girl like this
But most the time she is a little amiss
Crying at the altar
She cries,"Please help me Father!"
He takes her pain until she's free
Until someone can kick her in the knee
Someday she'll be free of the pain
But for the moment she's got nothing to gain
