"Someday"

"someday you'll grow up" he says,

"someday you will know"

. All the things he did for me

, the things he'd never show

. "Someday you'll grow up" he says

"and maybe act your age"

But I just want to be myself, my youth is in a cage

. "Someday you'll grow up" he says

"And then you'll understand"

How to do just what you're told, respecting a demand

"Someday" seems so far away but "someday" may be here

. I try my best to live my life but I am overwhelmed with fear

I try to make him happy 'cause he's my only one

. I'm worried it will never be.

That "someday" will never come.
