Someday

   Someday

I would like to ask you about,                                                              But don’t call me in the morning

A time that is called “Someday”.                                                         As I usually rest til ten,

I can’t find it on my Calendar.                                                              And don’t call in the afternoon,

                                                                                                                  I’m watching Netflix.

I’ve made so many plans for when                                                     And, I don’t like to be disturbed

That day finally arrives.                                                                        In the evening, while I eat.

If you could see my lengthy list,                                                          On second thought, don’t call at all

I think you’d be surprised.                                                                    I might just be asleep.

I want to visit a sick Friend,                                                                  Do you think God would

Make an overdue phone call,                                                               understand my dilemma?

Plan a budget and stick to it,                                                                I surely hope,

But there must be more, that can’t be all.                                        That someday is not today.

I want to read my Bible,

Pray for the sick and oppressed,

Tell others about Jesus,

Maybe give Him my best.

So if you hear about Someday,

Please fill me in,

So all the things I have planned

Can finally begin.
