Someone

I need someone to listen when I speak.

To hear what I mean in every sentence.

I need someone to understand;

or at least try to.

Someone to know that I'm not okay.

Someone to be there before the tears form.

Someone to catch them when they do.

Someone to care enough;

to know when I'm about to break.

Someone to calm the storm before it brews.

Someone who will accept me

when I can't accept myself.

You are not that person.
