Someone
There was a little girl sitting on the bench
Observing how everyone had someone
However, she didn’t have someone
She wanted more in life than just having someone
She had dreams that reached the stars
But everyone else was focused on having someone
The little girl wondered and wondered about not having someone
Was it normal to not have someone?
She felt like an outcast so she searched
And searched but couldn’t find someone
She cried at night praying someone will come her way
Echoes of her cry traveled to her mom’s ear
Her mom told her ‘Just because everyone is doing the same thing
Doesn’t mean you should too’
She said ‘follow your dreams
And the right person would show up one day’
The little girl did exactly what her mom said
As days went by she stopped searching for someone
She focused on her path to get to the future she wants
She realized that having someone was not as important
As it is to pursuit your dreams.
