Someone Else will Pick that Up

There are buffets for those willing to pay.

There are hotels and resorts for those with enough currency.

There are stores to purchase the biggest and brightest of technologies and gadgets.

There is but a park bench or an underpass for the have-nots.

And we still would prefer they not be there.

They need cast away, they’re far too hideous.

They will ruin our reputations.

We refer to it as a housing crisis.

As we watch it on the television in our house.

Someone will clearly fix that, we think.

But whose responsibility is it?

We’ll answer that another day.

The day does not seem to come, and this spreads day in and day out.

But is it not our greed and materialistic nature that is the real plague?

Why, that’s not my problem.
