Someone I once knew

I laugh at the world for its follies

I cry at the mirror seeing what it shows me

Where am I, who am I, Why am I here

My heart quickens as the truth becomes clear

I laugh at the world for its follies

I accept myself for my lies

I rage at the moral demise

I reach out for what I believe in

I finally obtain what seemed out of reach

Leaving the me that I once knew in the remnants

Of the past that is now a dream
